Bakup files not created

I got the following problem.

When i start a new project IDEAL makes bakup of every file. I did make this in the settings

But when i close the project and start it again. The bakups wil not be made again.

I am working on a windows Vista system. I think it has to do something with Vista. Cause in the time i did work on a XP system this problem never came up.
